Sourcefire and Interoute, LogRhythm and Solera announce partnerships

Sourcefire has announced a partnership with Interoute, the landlord and operator of Europe's largest cloud services platform.

The deal will see Sourcefire provide its next-generation Intrusion Prevention Systems (NGIPS) to Interoute as a part of the latter's new managed security service. This may enable Interoute to integrate Sourcefire's best-of-breed NGIPS within its European private cloud to deliver a scalable, managed, automated security platform.

Interoute's customers will even have management-level access to primary information for compliance and reporting purposes to support increasing accreditation demands, reminiscent of ISO 27001, PCI-DSS and ISAE 3402.

Jeff Finch, security services product manager at Interoute, said: “We've integrated the Sourcefire NGIPS into Europe's largest private cloud, combining the inherent security of our own network with the advanced protection of Sourcefire's technology. The result's a massively scalable managed security solution, providing Interoute's customers with proactive protection for his or her critical data inside the cloud.”

Also, LogRhythm and Solera Networks have announced a technology partnership to supply customers with network visibility, security and situational awareness by combining LogRhythm's security incident and event management (SIEM) 2.0 platform with Solera's security intelligence and analytics solution.

LogRhythm users will now have access to Solera's DeepSee platform and be capable to know what happened before, during and after an event on the packet, flow, and file level by launching Solera's solution from throughout the LogRhythm console.

Alex Seton, vice-president of commercial development at Solera Networks, said: “More than ever, organisations want to know everything this is happening on their networks and deploy effective prevention and incident-response tools to combat cyber-security threats. We believe that the joint solution of LogRhythm and Solera Networks provides our customers with the actionable intelligence and network visibility essential to respond proactively to any emerging threat."

Matt Winter, vice-president of corporate and business development at LogRhythm, said: “Our vision has always been to integrate with leading-edge security solutions, and we've found a great partner in Solera Networks.

“Together, our integrated solutions provide unmatched cyber-threat detection, network forensics and security response capabilities to actively address advanced threats. Astute organisations understand the necessity to shift resources from an easy ‘prevention' mode to an entire defense, detection and response system for cyber security, and our combined solutions help enable that shift.”
