Ipswitch Network Management Division has announced the hot version of its WhatsUp Log Management suite.
According to the corporate, version 10.1.1 comes with pre-built, out-of-the-box reports which are concerned about compliance with European data-protection regulations, especially UK-specific ones.
The reports ease key compliance requirements for businesses of all sizes, including the necessity to meet country-specific data protection requirements equivalent to the united kingdom Data Protection Act 1998 and UK Corporate Governance Code 2010.
V10.1.1 features include automatic collection and consolidation of the huge volumes of log data from all kinds of infrastructure and applications that contain employee or customer personal data, protection of archived log data, using cryptographic hashing to preserve log integrity, and real-time monitoring and detection of suspicious events and messages.
Susan Read-Miller, principal product marketing manager at Ipswitch's Network Management Division, said: âNot every company has the posh of having the ability to employ dedicated security professionals. Network admins are increasingly being asked to watch security, yet they generally drown under the deluge of logs generated by the fashionable business so have gotten right into a dangerous habit of ignoring them.
âWhatsUp Log Management may help them automate this process, thus not just protecting the business from potential breaches but saving them time and potentially hefty fines.â
