Webroot delivers business edition of SecureAnywhere

Webroot has launched the business edition of its SecureAnywhere product to present cloud-based protection for endpoints.

Following the launch of the patron edition in October 2011, the corporate said that SecureAnywhere Business â€" Endpoint Protection includes behaviour-based threat analysis to eliminate the necessity for signatures, in addition offline protection for machines inside or outside the company firewall.

Also, an identity and privacy shield hardens the operating system and browser to avoid lack of intellectual property through hijacks, keyloggers and screen-scrapers. Additionally it is a rollback feature to eliminate the necessity to re-image an infected computer.

From a management perspective, it offers a centralised endpoint management console, centralised policy control and may be run as a stand-alone, or second, layer of protection.

Sean Lamberton, divisional IT manager at Gladedale Group, said: “SecureAnywhere â€" Endpoint Protection scans our machines in a fragment of the time it used to take before we implemented it. Installation was quick in addition to straightforward to deploy across our organisation. The machines appear instantly within the online console.

“The console is really easy to navigate and is incredibly quick to browse, giving visibility of all systems quickly with a large number of customised features.”
