LogLogic to be acquired by cloud specialist Tibco

Cloud computing infrastructure software vendor Tibco has announced plans to obtain log management specialist LogLogic.

The acquisition of the log and security management platform vendor will expand Tibco's operational intelligence offerings while providing customers being able to proactively monitor real-time events, assess risks and address current threats and opportunities. It's going to also expand its capabilities in event processing and in-memory analytics to fulfill Big Data challenges.

Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

The past two years have seen many security information and event management (SIEM) vendors acquired, with NitroSecurity now section of McAfee (therefore Intel), Q1 bought by IBM and ArcSight snapped up by HP.
