SonicWALL has launched a brand new unified threat management (UTM) firewall to give anti-malware, intrusion prevention, URL filtering and alertness control capabilities, at the side of mobile platform support.
According to the corporate, the SonicWALL TZ 215 is a dual-core, high-performance, application-aware firewall with comprehensive protection against viruses, Trojans, key-loggers and alertness-layer attacks. It also said that it integrates rich networking functionality, including IPSec and SSL VPN remote access.
It offers drill-down visualisation for advanced application traffic analytics for deep insight into bandwidth utilisation and security threats, using both real-time and historical data, enabling fast troubleshooting and forensics. Dell announced plans to obtain SonicWALL on Monday.
Dmitriy Ayrapetov, product line manager of network security at SonicWALL, said: âThe unfortunate reality is that many SMEs still decide on performance over comprehensive security.
âWe believe that companies should now not be forced to select from network performance and in reality protecting themselves. With the introduction of the TZ 215, they may be able to have the required full deep-packet inspection security, similar to intrusion prevention and anti-malware, while enjoying the whole capacity of the high-speed connections avaiable for purchase today.â
