Good Technology has announced that Sainsbury's has adopted its Good for Enterprise technology, allowing the supermarket's 150,000 UK staff to attach securely to its network.
According to Good Technology, this will likely provide an improved and more reliable mobile enterprise software platform to enable access to corporate data in a secure, secure and managed way.
Rob Fraser, IT director at Sainsbury's, cited the will for its area managers which will use one mobile device on-the-opt for managed, unfettered and secure email access â" that allows you to avoid the habit of juggling corporate information through multiple platforms and devices.
Fraser said: âManaging information quickly and efficiently is on the heart of any successful retailer, and Sainsbury's is committed to providing its colleagues with the mobile solutions they should enable them to give great service to its customers
âMeeting the varied needs of our customers is not any longer going to happen just from a remote office â" it'll increasingly happen using mobile devices. Good Technology will give us the threshold for achievement.â
Andrew Jacques, general manager at Good Technology UK, said: âSainsbury's is a superb example of a market leader that wants to further embrace using mobile devices in an enterprise setting to maximize efficiencies and productivity.
âCorporate leaders like Sainsbury's not must have a look at the explosion of private smartphones within the workplace as an issue, but rather as an answer and a critical tool for growth and expansion, if managed the fitting way. With Good for Enterprise, Sainsbury's has the best toolkit to embrace the bring-your-own-device trend and leverage it for its next phase of growth.â
