The deadline for entries to the SC Awards Europe 2012 have been extended until Friday, 9th December.
Following a record variety of entries, the deadline for entries for 27 categories was further extended until Friday 9th December, with a charge of £50 per entry.
This year will include new categories within the technology and industry awards sections, including best mobile device management and best forensics tool, while a brand new award for best global security company will sit alongside information security vendor of the year and CEO of the year.
The awards would be presented at the 24th April next year on the London Hilton, Park Lane.
Paul Fisher, editor of SC Magazine, said: âThe record collection of entries to the 2012 awards is testament to the standard and influence of our now global event. We now have further extended the entry deadline to permit for late submissions and watch for welcoming the worldwide security industry to London in 2012.â
At the 2011 awards, Sophos were named as information security vendor of the year, Qualys' Philippe Courtot was named as CEO of the year and Actiance's Unified Security Gateway was named as information security manufactured from the year. Other winners at the night included Websense, ArcSight, Becrypt and Good Technology
